I have auxpages on my site that are gone, but people are still coming to these pages from Google or Favorites.

How and where should I put my .htaccess rewrite rules to redirect people to the home page or a new page..?
What should be the syntax..?
Anyone has done this succesfully..?

Please note that my webasyst installation is in a subfolder, so the actual URL of the shop is :
http://www.example.com/shop/
