To have the discount system actually work in a usable fashion, it needs an overhaul.  This was advertised as being able to handle sales for both wholesale and retail, but it really doesn't. The way the discount system is set up you can only specify a flat percentage off for wholesale customers, and we don't work that way as manufacturers. 

Also, although you can create Groups and assign them a discount, they don't see a difference until check out. That makes life very difficult. In something that worked well for both consumers and wholesale. You should be able to choose which categories are seen by the groups  Big Issue as a manufacturer)  and you should be able to apply a discount that you create to a particular product or category - very similar to the way we can apply custom parameters - ie, style or design or color, etc. to products.

This includes both discounts by group and discounts by coupons.  I frequently will discount only a particular package. Right now, I can only use a coupon like that if I don't activate direct payment, because if someone sticks the code in, and it's for something they didn't order.. the system will still apply the discount. Not good.... then you're stuck contacting customers and recharging payments.

This store has a lot of power, but it's still lacking in some of the things that would make things usuable.
