hello! I have Webasyst Shop-Script installed on my website http://zpstyle.com/ and I have a quick question about the hosting for the Shop-Script software on my site. Currently I am on shared hosting on Godaddy.com LINUX Economy, but my website loads really slow (I have a 3 MB high-speed internet and it takes me over 6 secs to load the page).
I was trying to simplify my shop-script, but unfortunately it didnot speed up my site! I am guessing it might deal with my hosting. So my question is: does the hosting affect how fast the pages load on my site that runs on shop-script webasyst? if yes, what hosting would you reccomend to use? Is Godaddy OK?
Thank in advance!

as you can see - not really fast (can get up to 4 mins)!

Hello zpstyle.
There seems to be almost linear correlation between connection speed and download times. This brings me to a conclusion that your page weight is at fault. Take a look ath this report - http://analyze.websiteoptimization.com/authenticate.php?url=http://zpstyle.com . It shows that your images are heavy (probably not optimised for web) and HTML is sent as is without being zipped in transit (ask your hosting on how to turn this option on).

hi
Your browser is also need to open a connection for each file, if you are using several number of images then your browser need to open several connection, so it delayed the loading even though your images are of very small size and your page load is very small.
You should combine all images in a single image and then use that single image by css everywhere you need on your site, here browser need to open only single connection - it decrease the size of images up to a great extent
Finally you will get a great speed ... Also combine google analytics files if you are using it.
Thanks

I also think that the problem does not lie with the transfer speeds that you are using with downloading stuff off the internet. I would have to say, according to experience with web pages, that the problem is with the html page you are getting them from. Maybe they are loaded with heavy graphics or there are a lot of plug-ins running at will. I would suggest that you create a specific container for these plug-ins and use .png images.

It may be the reason that you have overloaded the website so much.
