I use the reports section of the shop script quiet often, however I'm finding it very hard to use as it lacks some basic functionality. I've had a quick look in the database and have seen that the product counts are in a single column making the reports hard to make useful. It would have been very good if you good select a particular time frame and see the reports for that month. For example, seeing how many views a particular product received in a particular month.
